I noticed that in Legend of Grimrock dead party members can still carry torches. Very handy. It may be an intended feature too, but the thought of this scene amused me nonetheless. Civilized mage prisoner carries no filthy peasant torches!
I haven’t finished Grimrock yet, I’m not even too far I think. It’s clear though that the game is very well made and polished, everything just works. It’s a small game and it doesn’t “do much”, but it’s great at what it does actually do. It’s not just the nostalgia either, I’m quite sure those too, who didn’t experience that Dungeon Master era, could enjoy the game.
With the price they are asking for it, you’re guaranteed to get your money’s worth of entertainment. Unless you’re extremely stingy. If they release full mod tools or even a map editor, this game will live for a long time.
